Limited hatching eggs will be available from late April to early July. Mixed eggs start at $15 each.  Specific colored eggs are higher.  Minimum order is 6 eggs.  We pack carefully when shipping eggs, but shipped eggs have the risk of rough handling thru USPS. Peafowl eggs are harder to hatch than most poultry eggs.  Peafowl hatch rates can be as high as 80% or sadly as low as 0%.  Hatching success depends on USPS handling, your incubation methods, your incubator, and your experience. Some eggs fail to grow, other eggs are quitters.  Some chicks pip but fail to hatch.  I share this not to discourage you but to give you an honest evaluation of peafowl hatching. If you want guaranteed live birds it is best to start with live birds.  We have several peacocks in each pen with multiple peahens so fertility is good but not every egg will grow.

Peachicks are more fragile than chicken chicks.  They are not an easy starter bird.  If you are new to peafowl or poultry, I recommend starting with yearling India Blue birds. They are the most affordable and hardier that some of the other varieties, so chances of good success is better.  The learning curve can be steep but the rewards of such beauty and grace on the farm is worth the effort.
